ABOUT
Meg Singer
Meg is an experienced, warm, and enthusiastic college counselor with a special knack for truly getting to know each and every one of her students on a highly-personalized level. For more than two decades, Meg has worked closely with hundreds of students across various disciplines, learning styles, regions, and countries - always in service of helping them reach their academic dreams.

Meg spent the first half of her career teaching at independent schools in Manhattan, Long Island, and New Jersey. As an Upper School English teacher, she witnessed the anxiety her senior students faced when it came time to write their Common Application personal statements, so she developed and implemented both an in-school curriculum and a series of summer workshops (which continue to run to this day) to help students develop their voices and present their most authentic selves through their writing. In 2018, Meg transitioned to a successful career as a college counselor, first as a senior consultant at Marks Education and now in her own private practice.

While the college landscape is constantly changing, Meg's goal has always stayed the same: to find the best educational fit for each individual student. This is why she spends so much time and energy getting to know her clients, bringing out their truest passions and and drawing out their deepest values. She believes it is a privilege to get to work with high school students who are on the cusp of adulthood and learning to think independently and take ownership of their educational decisions. She is the guide who will be on your side the entire way, cheering for you, encouraging you, and providing you with the most accurate, up-to-date information to help you make your most well-informed decisions about your future. Meg is proud to say that every single one of her 12th grade students has submitted their best application and essay work (because she will accept nothing less!) and that ALL of them have been admitted to at least one of (if not all of) their top choice colleges.
